A Little of Everything
I wish we had lots of fun exciting news, but we don't. Oh wait, I did paint the kids bedrooms that I promised I would do months ago,.....before I got sick. The rooms look great, but maybe I wasn't quite ready for a project of that magnitude. My thinking, " just paint all 11 doors and the trim since you have everything out, it won't take long". In reality, it took three days, one of which I stayed up until 4am. Brilliant, one coat of primer and 2 coats of paint later we no longer have ugly dark brown stain on the main floor of the house! It took me 2 days to recover.
We are pretty much back into a routine, it is nice. The three big kids are back in swimming lessons and loving it. Reid and Lexi are doing great in the piano lessons and school. Kurt is excited to start preschool next year, we'll see what he thinks once he actually goes. I think he finds all his one-on-one with Mommy not as cool as he once did.
It is February and I really am looking forward to some warmer weather. I have never been so cold in my life. Apparently it isn't uncommon to have trouble regulating body temperature while trying to regulate Synthroid dosing. Since they will only up my dose every 30 days, I think this will take a while. I just never thought I would see the day when I would be wearing socks to bed with 4 or 5 blankets piled on top of me.
I did have a CT scan a few weeks ago and was told I am in the "all clear" until November. That is great news and we are looking forward to fewer doctor appointments. Now I only have to go in every month. Yeah!!
The kids in their Christmas jammies, I just love their "deer in the headlights" expressions, don't you?

The Fall of a Plan-aholic
Well here goes nothing. I log on to check email and here I am falling into the blog trap. If this means I get to ramble aimlessly without worrying whether anyone is listening or not, then I'm game. So here goes......
Todays FAQ: How aaaarrre you doing? I know their sincere, but I just dont want to answer that one anymore. I am fine, and even if I weren't I wouldn't change the answer. If you know me you can tell when I'm not fine.
Question of the day: Are you faking it? This one made me smile. No, I can't act, if I look okay, then I am.
Moment of the Day: Watching 3 year old K play Uno for the first time. He would shout "It Matches!" every time he had a mate to the discard. Then he would pull it out and play it. Who cares who's turn it is. I also learned he knows his colors and numbers pretty well. SO cute!
Confession of the Day: I am not ready for the Holidays. When Dr. B told me I had till Thanksgiving to get out and Christmas shop I was stunned to the point of shopping paralysis. I haven't bought one thing. I have three days left...fabulous, I dont even know what to get for the kids.
Well, here is to my 3 days of being able to get out and shop. I have always been an early shopper, and the one year I am not ready in October is the year I needed to be. So much for the plan-aholic. Go ahead and laugh. Just think of poor J trying to pull this together. That ought to be interesting, maybe I'll let him.................nope, I'm to much of a control freak. Looks like on-line is the way to go.
