A Little of Everything

I wish we had lots of fun exciting news, but we don't. Oh wait, I did paint the kids bedrooms that I promised I would do months ago,.....before I got sick. The rooms look great, but maybe I wasn't quite ready for a project of that magnitude. My thinking, " just paint all 11 doors and the trim since you have everything out, it won't take long". In reality, it took three days, one of which I stayed up until 4am. Brilliant, one coat of primer and 2 coats of paint later we no longer have ugly dark brown stain on the main floor of the house! It took me 2 days to recover.
We are pretty much back into a routine, it is nice. The three big kids are back in swimming lessons and loving it. Reid and Lexi are doing great in the piano lessons and school. Kurt is excited to start preschool next year, we'll see what he thinks once he actually goes. I think he finds all his one-on-one with Mommy not as cool as he once did.

It is February and I really am looking forward to some warmer weather. I have never been so cold in my life. Apparently it isn't uncommon to have trouble regulating body temperature while trying to regulate Synthroid dosing. Since they will only up my dose every 30 days, I think this will take a while. I just never thought I would see the day when I would be wearing socks to bed with 4 or 5 blankets piled on top of me.

I did have a CT scan a few weeks ago and was told I am in the "all clear" until November. That is great news and we are looking forward to fewer doctor appointments. Now I only have to go in every month. Yeah!!

Our neighbor took this picture of us on Christmas Sunday. This was just 3 days after I got out of isolation, we had plenty to smile about!

The kids in their Christmas jammies, I just love their "deer in the headlights" expressions, don't you?

Reid had his first Pinewood Derby this year! He took third in our pack and so then got to go to regionals and this is the big day. He was really excited and in true Robison fashion we all went without Jacob. It was a great experience, it would have been better if I had gotten a sitter for the other kids, we were there for about 3 hours.

Kurt says he is a snowman, I love this!

Hey Aliess. Didn't know you had a blog. This is my first time to leave a messege on one so you should be happy about that! The pics look cute. I am happy that you are "in the clear" and recovering. My arm is slowly healing too. I did tap one of the big plates near my elbow though against the corner of the wall yesterday though and it left a mark. :)

Okay, that picture of Kurt as a snowman is just dang cute! :)
I should probably start a blog of my own, since that's about what I do with my e-mail updates. But I like them on e-mails (feels like I have some control over who's getting the information), and I have facebook and myspace accounts anyway. No one needs more updating than that!

Aliess, I am so glad to hear from you. I have been meaning to call for several weeks now - blah blah blah, I know. There really is no good excuse I am glad to hear you are doing better, but very sad to hear you are so cold. Come and visit us in North Carolina. The sun shines almost everyday!!

Welcome to the blog world. I haven't been great about updating mine but it's fun anyway. I love your pictures and I can't believe how big your kids are getting. K is permanently a baby in my mind so hearing he knows colors and is potty trained is crazy. I'm glad you are feeling OK and I will continue to keep your family in our prayers.

Thanks for inviting me to your blog. You sure have cute kiddos. I look forward to making many a residency memory with your family - not the least of which will be our continued obsession with Mah Jong.
